(UPDATE at bottom from reader Mad Mutt* regarding www DOT adoptacamera DOT org)
To Orwell Today,
Thank you so much for your tireless work on Orwell Today dot com! I hope you have people helping you with Orwell Today - it is a lot of work for one person.
There are very easy to install WIKIs these days that would allow you to oversee the project while allowing others to continue to keep putting the pressure on Big Brother. I'm actually working on a small piece of the same pie -- I just launched www.adoptacamera.org -- but because I know how busy I am, I have set this up as a WIKI so that anyone can dive in and create content.
Anyway -- I was hoping that when you're editing orwelltoday you might send a link our direction. I'd love to hear what you think of the idea itself -- www.adoptacamera.org.
So thanks again for your work on OrwellToday.com -- I use it in the classes that I teach all the time!
Thanks for the info about your "Adopt A Camera" website which I gather is about "watching the watchers" which is a good idea, it being just one other way we can monitor what Big Brother is up to. And, as you know, it's a big job, and the more people putting the shoulder to the wheel the better.
Thanks also for the info about WIKIs although it isn't something I can conceive of using. I prefer to totally drive the content on "Orwell Today" and give readers the option of participating and contributing through sending emails to the website - and their input is greatly desired, appreciated and needed.
Actually, I have no one helping me with "Orwell Today". It's a "minority of one" operation as Orwell would say, or as others have said, "a labour of love".
All the best,

WHY ORWELL WROTE 1984
*To Orwell Today,
Regarding www DOT adoptacamera DOT org, I don't know if Chris was on the level with his site or not, but I can tell you for a fact that the site has been hijacked. Because it is a Wiki, allowing anyone to post and/or edit its pages, the site has been spammed to death on its subsidiary pages by junk links leading to "anti-virus threat" sites which DO NOT allow use of your "Back Button". Just thought I'd write and let you know what I found there.
Greetings Mad Mutt,
Thanks for letting me know about that adoptacamera website. Your experience there reinforces that Wikis are a bad idea, whether Chris was on the level or not.
I really appreciate it when readers help with quality control on "Orwell Today" - thanks muchly.
All the best,
