To Orwell Today,
re: JFK...THIS NATION'S SON

I have just read a poem on line entitled JFK...This Nation's Son. I would like to know if that poem is published in hard copy. I would like to use it for UIL in a program of pieces about significant events of the 60's, but a UIL restriction is that all selections must be published in hard copy, not just internet. If there is a hard copy version, could you please send me the title of the book or magazine and where I might find it.

Thank you so very much,
Neda Barfield, Texas

Greetings Neda,

Two years ago, on the 40th anniversary of JFK's assassination, the author of that poem, Monty Fisher, sent it to me via email. I published it on my website to share it with a worldwide audience and that is how you came to enjoy it.

Whether or not it is also published in a book or magazine I do not know. But you could print my "JFK...THIS NATION'S SON" webpage which would provide you with a "hard copy" from my website - Orwell Today - and may meet the UIL requirements.

In the meantime Monty Fisher may read our discussion and contact me with details as to where else the poem is published, at which time I will put him in contact with you.

All the best,
