I have with great interest recently read your web-site which I came across whilst I was searching for information on Wallington Church.

I live quite local to Wallington in England and recently attended the village summer fete. Wallington Church was open and there are now available copies of the marriage certificate of Eric Arthur Blair and Eileen Maud O'Shaughnessy. I wonder if you would like a copy for yourself. I would be quite happy to purchase a copy for you as a gift which I could scan in and email to you and post the photocopy on to you. Please let me know if you would like a copy.

Thank you for the photo attachments of the stained glass window from inside St Mary's church in Wallington and for your kind offer of sending me a copy of Orwell's marriage certificate.

I suspect, with your having just discovered my website, that you may not have yet read my section entitled 7.VISITING ORWELL'S WEDDING CHURCH. There you will see a photo of me standing inside the church in front of the stained glass window.

While there I signed the guest book and bought a copy of the marriage certificate which I have just now, in response to your interest, scanned and posted on the webpage. I don't know why I didn't do that originally.

My visit to Orwell's village of Wallington was the fulfillment of a long-held wish and it's great to hear from someone who lives close enough to enjoy a summer fete there.
