If you want a first edition copy of "1984", either the British version or the American version (ie published in England or United States), either hard-cover or paperback, you should go to Alibris.com or AbeBooks.com.

Those are the two main places where I buy many of my second-hand books, other than in Used Bookstores everywhere I travel.
