Kagame & Kabila Nkunda Nat Geo

The upcoming Kabila-Kagame summit must regard Nkunda as
a major political actor in DR Congo by all means.
Peace cannot be genuinely sought in DR Congo without Nkunda being part of that business.
Nkunda has got his credentials as a meritorious DR Congolese leader.

KAGAME-KABILA-NKUNDA SUMMITEERING

Should Kabila and Kagame lure themselves into believing they can achieve peace in DR Congo
without allowing Nkunda to help them chart and canvass for that peace,
then let me tell them beforehand that they've most definitely got it all wrong.
Wherever they may of late have taken their political cue from,
they must acknowledge that they would only be further unduly jeopardizing
the survival of the Congolese peoples.

To Orwell Today,

Is further summiteering any good for Kabila and Kagame?

The eminent duo Kabila-Kagame met about ten years ago in Eldoret Kenya to seek peace and security, and to restore diplomatic relations among other things. Did they secure any peace? security? Did they restore diplomatic relations as they pledged they would 10 years ago? The answer is a glaring and shocking NAY!

General Nkunda was not there then to be staged as a scapegoat.

What they were canvassing for then was not peace, security and certainly not for restoring diplomatic normalcy. I'd very much love to be proven wrong in my assessment hereof.

And what are they canvassing for today? Another summiteering round of theirs is reportedly looming ahead.

Did they arrest Nkunda to canvass for peace, security?

For whose peace? For whose security? Certainly not for the Congolese people's peace and security; nor for the Rwandans' for that matter.

Congolese refugees have IN THEIR THOUSANDS lived in concentration camps in Rwanda for close to 15 years; GO SEE THEM IN BYUMBA, KIBUYE; CONCENTRATION CAMPS, NOT REFUGEE CAMPS PLEASE; CONCENTRATION CAMPS REMINISCENT OF THE WARSAW GHETTO AT ITS WORST -- PROMISCUITY, HUNGER, HUMAN MORAL STANDARDS AT ZERO LEVEL!!

CONGOLESE PEOPLE BACK HOME ARE DAILY DYING OF STARVATION, DISEASES, JOBLESSNESS, HOMELESSNESS...

WOMEN ARE DAILY RAPED IN HUNDREDS BY BANDITS PASSING OFF AS SOLDIERS - KABILA'S ARMY, THE UNITED NATIONS' ARMY MONUC, EX FAR/INTERAHAMWE...

KIDS DYING IN THEIR TENDEREST INFANCY ARE BEYOND COUNT.

PREGNANT MOTHERS' WOMBS HAVE BEEN RIPPED OPEN OVER THE YEARS IN BLOODY DR CONGO.

NKUNDA HAS FOUGHT ALL THESE ILLS FOR CLOSE TO TEN YEARS AND HE IS NOW BEING INCAPACITATED BY TOPMOST RWANDAN EXECUTIVE CLAIMING TO SEEK PEACE AND SECURITY FOR CONGO AND THE SUB REGION.

AS A SOLDIER, I SWORE AN OATH TO DEFEND THE CONGOLESE PEOPLE IN JUNE 1971. I CONSIDER I AM STILL BOUND BY THAT OATH. President Joseph Kabila was not yet born at the time I was swearing that I would defend the security and the territorial integrity of the DR Congo; that I would SUPREMELY sacrifice my life defending the constitution and the laws of DR Congo.

01033/P is my DR Congo army registration number, if anyone wanted to check the veracity of my story. There are people who always bother themselves about why I am so engrossed in Congolese affairs. Well, I am bound by law as a Congolese citizen in the first place, and then by my oath.

I hear General Kabila was born in 1972; he is an army general bound by the same oath in principle, and he is the president of the Republic of Congo. IS HE SURE HE HAS BEEN PROTECTING THE CONGOLESE PEOPLE?

Why has Nkunda decided to rebel in the first place?

Nkunda's rebellion is a legitimate thing as Kagame did say on several occasions. The CNDP must operate in the Congo in ways different from the previous rebellions which meant no good for DR Congo. I mean Laurent Desire Kabila's AFDL and Ruberwa's RCD; both of which were substandard rebellions as compared to General Nkunda's disciplined rebellion.

The upcoming Kabila-Kagame summit must regard Nkunda as a major political actor in DR Congo by all means. Peace cannot be genuinely sought in DR Congo without Nkunda being part of that business. Nkunda has got his credentials as a meritorious DR Congolese leader.

And I must confess here that I was profoundly amazed and shocked when I lately heard Kagame of all people going out of his way to say that "Nkunda is just an individual", by which the Rwandan president probably meant the Chairman of the CNDP is no leader to talk of, no political actor to bank upon, or else that Nkunda means nothing in the current Congolese affairs.

In his stating that "Nkunda is just an individual", Kagame could also have maliciously meant, in his supremely delphic tone and proverbially haughty manner, that CNDP Chairman Nkunda could inconsequentially be done away with, discarded or expended under the circumstances.

Kagame has certainly proved to be some sort of unprecedented political God in the Great Lakes Region of Africa. He has concededly been a great hero in these Godforsaken lands of Africa. And there are many people across the world who've been wishing against wish that he does not end up demeriting, nullifying his heroic aura to enter history as just another villain, God forbid.

Should however Kabila and Kagame lure themselves into believing they can achieve peace in DR CONGO without allowing Nkunda to help them chart and canvas for that peace, then let me tell them beforehand that they've most definitely got it all wrong. Wherever they may of late have taken their political cue from, they must acknowledge that they would only be further unduly jeopardizing the survival of the Congolese peoples.

President Kagame said the problem of DR Congo is not General Nkunda. The problem of Congo, says Kagame, is peace. He goes on to say that Nkunda is just an individual - he is no longer the leader with whom Kabila was until recently negotiating peace under Kagame's mediation, with the United Nations' facilitation!

There is, as I said earlier on, in some other forum, something terribly fishy, something potentially disastrous in the way the General Nkunda affair is being handled by Rwanda top government authorities.

President Kagame's round about turn in his approach to the current DR Congolese affairs is ominously portentous, to say the least.

PS - President Kabila and Kagame are treated fine in my writings. These two souls turned presidents of young African republics have every right to be decently treated in our writings, just like any other human around our global village.

The only thing I'd not want to allow them to do, is to go thinking that they're more important to us than the people whose government they are entrusted with. I would not like to see Kabila and Kagame re-enacting before me the unsavory drama that Mobutu and Habyarimana played here for decades, which degenerated into the 1994 genocide alongside other ills and calamities that are hardly ever named. We must care for these peoples who've been cowed down into believing that they're just ants to be trampled on, crushed INSTEAD OF BEING FULL-FLEDGED CITIZENS.

LAMENTING RWANDA CONGO GENOCIDES (even innocent smiles of babies doesn't soften their hearts)

KAGAME ABET KABILA GET NKUNDA

WILL KAGAME SACRIFICE NKUNDA?

KAGAME, PLEASE PLAY NKUNDA ACE

Looming Kagame-Kabila Summit (another look at abrasive Nkunda issue), Ntarugera Deo Koya, Nkunda-Support Forum, Apr 9, 2009
...Congolese General Laurent Nkunda, Chairman of the Congrès National pour la Défense du Peuple, CNDP, has been under house arrest for over two (2) months now. He’s been held captive in Rwanda where he has been kept incommunicado, since January 22, 2009. There is something terribly fishy, awesomely dangerous, potentially disastrous and utterly flabbergasting about the attitude of Rwanda government top executives in this untowardly preposterous affair...
