POEM FOR JFK

He was a star,
Sure as the sky's above,
That led wise men
Through the darkest hours.

He was a light,
The flame of which still burns today,
That illuminated all the way,
Even unto death.

He was a man,
A prince among men,
Who sufferred pain, felt joy,
Loved life, and withal conquered death.

He was a President,
First, last and always,
The mold of which indeed is rare,
He gave his all, even his life.

God grant him everlasting joy.
His memory live forevermore,
While our sad hearts still mourn the loss
Of this beloved President.
