To Orwell Today,

May I kindly suggest, with all due respect, that you check your sources re Mutara Rudahigua III.

Water has ran under the bridges, but a few of us still find it … painful to read articles which, although written with (I am sure) true and honest feelings, are the result of misinformation.

Best Regards,
Simone Abegg-Du Bois

Greetings Simone,

I'm sorry if articles on my website cause you pain and would appreciate it if you could be specific regarding where you found misinformation about Mutara Rudahigua III, Rwanda's last reigning king (his heir, Kigeli Ndahindurwa V, having been in self-imposed exile since 1961).

My source for most information about Rudahigua is the book LAND OF A THOUSAND HILLS: MY LIFE IN RWANDA by Rosamond Carr. See ROYAL REIGN IN RWANDA.

I enjoyed reading Carr's book while I was in Rwanda because it greatly enhanced the experience of visiting RWANDA'S ROYAL PALACES, the old and the new.

Rosamond Carr, from my understanding, was a person who truly did love Rwanda and Rwandans and didn't seem to take political sides, living there before, during and after the reign of mwamis ended and only left for a short period of time during the 1994 genocide, but returned afterwards and died there in September 2006.

There is also an article on my website about King Rudahigua's wife KAGAME AUNT QUEEN ROSALIE.

Amahoro,
Jackie Jura

To Orwell Today,

I truly appreciate that you took the time of answering.

It is so totally in favour of your objective sight of things, and of History.

Thank you again and best regards,
Simone
