To Orwell Today,
re: HILLYWOOD RWANDA
I played in this movie Operation Turquoise. Do you have any clue when this movie is going to be exposed to public? Or where I can look to follow the movie?
Ward, Belgian guy
I was wondering the same thing myself, curious as I am after being trapped in the Cyangugu motel while the street was closed-off for filming, and thus getting a preview of that scene, which I hope makes the final cut (minus us carrying our belongings too):
But with it not being a Hollywood production it probably won't be shown in movie theatres here in North America. In response to your question I re-read the article at the bottom of my HILLYWOOD RWANDA story and did a quick google search based on information there:
The producers, Mwana Productions in Rwanda and Cipango in France, have invested over Frw 1-billion to see this movie a success in both countries. Here's info on Cipango. Perhaps you could get in touch with them.
The film is privately funded in part by French pay-tv channel, Canal+, (Canal Plus", meaning "Channel Plus/More" in French), so maybe you could contact them (there's a link to their official website on the bottom of the Wikipedia article).
If you do track down news on OPERATION TURQUOISE please let me know. Also, it would be interesting to hear about the role you played in the movie and your thoughts on the experience.
All the best,
