I guess the name STRANGELOVE was chosen by madman Stanley Kubrick as the title of his Orwellian sick-joke movie because it IS strange to LOVE, instead of HATE, the idea of Earth's Mutually Assured Destruction by atomic bomb warfare.

Written and produced as it was in 1963, in subliminal ways DR STRANGELOVE is a character-assassination of JFK for his presidency's core policies -- anti-communism, anti-war and ultimately his Nuclear Test Ban Treaty -- signed 4 months before his brains were blown out in Dallas -- which turns out to be -- stranger than strange -- the very day DR STRANGELOVE was scheduled to open in the USA.

The showing that day was cancelled and the movie didn't open in theatres until 2 months later when it was hoped people had mourned long enough to be in the mood for laughs -- even at the expense of JFK.

As discussed previously, in many articles over the years, a sure way to spot a true communist is by their extremist anti-communist front (they "doth protest too much") and by their rabid hate of Germany's Hitler and America's anti-communist heroes -- Henry Ford, Charles Lindbergh, Joe McCarthy and, last but not least, John F Kennedy. All during the HOT WAR of WW-II and in these ensuing 80 years of the COLD WAR, Hollywood has been an arm -- an organ -- of the Orwellian Ministry of Truth churning out pro-communist, anti-American propaganda. Most recently -- in the block-buster movie OPPENHEIMER -- they turned a known-communist university physics professor, with no practical experience, into the heroic "chosen one" credited as being "father of the atomic bomb".

Friday is not just BARBIE release day -- moviegoers are also planning to fill theaters across the United States to see Christopher Nolan's OPPENHEIMER biopic. Many hope it will answer a question that has long divided Americans and the country's understanding of its history: Who exactly was J Robert Oppenheimer, the father of the atomic bomb? Oppenheimer's name has become "a metaphor for mass death beneath a mushroom cloud", in the words of Kai Bird and Martin Sherwin, whose 2005 book AMERICAN PROMETHEUS was adapted into Nolan's film. But to fully understand the physicist, biographers have looked for clues in his belief system -- an ethical code grounded in science and rationality, a fiery sense of justice and a lifelong ambivalence toward his own Jewish heritage. Oppenheimer was born in 1904 to German Jewish parents rapidly rising into Manhattan's upper class. His father, Julius Oppenheimer, came from the German town of Hanau and arrived in New York as a teenager -- without money or a word of English -- to help relatives run a small textile import business. He worked his way up to full partner, won a reputation as a cultured fabrics trader and fell in love with Ella Friedman, a painter whose German-Jewish family had settled in Baltimore in the 1840s...

I haven't watched the excrutiatingly long; unintelligible half-the-time; with gross nudity and copulation scenes movie, other than trailers and reviews, but it's won several Academy Awards and made millions at the box office. The town of Los Alamos, New Mexico -- the once top-secret "building-an-atomic-bomb" base and testing site -- is now a tourist attraction and Robert Oppenheimer a pop-culture icon who after-the-fact professed anti-nuke sentiments.

But Oppenheimer didn't regret dropping the atomic bombs in 1945 -- he just wished it had been on Germany instead of Japan. There were never plans to drop the bomb on Russia. On the contrary, scientists inside Los Alamos were passing nuclear secrets to the USSR through KGB and Mossad spies. The place was infested.

When the Oppenheimer movie came out mid-2023, I recall wondering why Hollywood chose, at this time, to make a movie glamourising the making and dropping of the atomic bomb -- an event the majority of people in the world abhor and regret ever happening. Since then I've noticed a steady, slow creeping of nuke-bomb stories in the news -- and threats of "going nuclear" by all nations in possession of the technology and raw materials -- even if for purposes of generating power -- not for weapons of mass destruction.

Then all hell broke loose about 6 weeks ago, when, out of the blue -- the USA, in alliance with Israel (a "shitty little country" totally dependent on USA for its existence) -- dropped massive bunker-buster bombs on nuclear facilities in Iran -- a Middle East Arab country allegedly a USSR ally.

The USA strike on Iranian nuclear sites -- dubbed OPERATION MIDNIGHT HAMMER -- was the biggest ever attack by B-2 Spirit stealth bombers, and the longest flight the aircraft have made since 2001. It also marked the first time that the USA used the massive, 15-ton GBU-57 bunker buster bombs in combat, dropping 14 of them on Iran's nuclear enrichment sites. The highly coordinated strike took Tehran by utter surprise Saturday night, with the terrorist state not launching any attacks at incoming American military personnel, according to Chief of the Joint Staff General Dan Caine. "We are currently unaware of any shots fired at the USA strike package on the way in and we are unaware of any shots fired at the package on the way out", he said during a press conference with Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth at the Pentagon Sunday. "Iran's fighters did not fly, and it appears that Iran's surface-to-air missile systems did not see us throughout the mission. "We retained the element of surprise"... Tehran has threatened retaliation -- and the USA military remains vigilant against any pending attacks, the general warned Iran. "In the region, especially in Iraq, Syria and the Gulf, our forces remain on high alert and are fully postured to respond to any Iranian retaliation or proxy attacks, which would be an incredibly poor choice".

President Donald Trump has announced that the USA has bombed three nuclear sites in Iran, ending days of speculation over whether he'd order American forces to join Israel's week-old campaign to knock out Tehran's nuclear weapons program by ordering long-range bombers with a surprise attack aimed at bringing Iranian officials back to the negotiating table. "We have completed our very successful attack on the three Nuclear sites in Iran, including Fordow, Natanz, and Esfahan", the president wrote on Truth Social. "All planes are now outside of Iran air space. A full payload of BOMBS was dropped on the primary site, Fordow". Fordow and Natanz both house uranium enrichment centers, while Isfahan is where Iran is believed to be keeping near-bomb-grade enriched uranium. The Fordow Fuel Enrichment Plant is buried deep underground, heavily fortified and expected to contain 2,700 centrifuges, which are essential for uranium enrichment. "All planes are safely on their way home. Congratulations to our great American Warriors. There is not another military in the World that could have done this. NOW IS THE TIME FOR PEACE! Thank you for your attention to this matter". Trump briefly addressed the nation from the White House two hours after his initial post, claiming the nuclear sites were "totally obliterated" by the strikes. "Iran, the bully of the Middle East, must now make peace. If they do not, future attacks will be far greater and a lot easier".

Amid critics questioning the impact of OPERATION MIDNIGHT HAMMER on Iran's nuclear sites, President Donald Trump praised the B-2 bombers and said he invited the B-2 pilots to the White House. In an interview on Fox news, he described how difficult it was for the B-2 pilots to fly 36 hours in a little space on a big plane mostly occupied by bombs. "They hit a target the size of a circle -- a little target, they say, half the size of a refrigerator door, from 50,000 feet up in the air going at a rapid speed", Trump said. "They hit it every single time, and then they knocked out two other sites aside from that". For some of the pilots, the mission was possibly the first time that they flew the B-2 in combat and dropped bombs. The was the first time GBU-57 bunker buster bombs were used.

Donald Trump claimed B-2 pilots involved in OPERATION MIDNIGHT HAMMER told him no previous president dared order such a mission in Iran. He lauded the strike, aimed at eliminating Iranian nuclear weapons, as an overwhelming success, rating it a '15 out of 10'... The B-2 pilots had told him that no previous USA president had the courage to order such a mission. "You had a tremendous success with the strike that we had getting rid of nuclear weapons in Iran. When the pilots came to my office, they were there with some of the other people having to do with that strike. They said something very interesting. They said, 'You know, we've been practicing this for 22 years, but no President had the guts to tell us to do it'..."

Now let's gleefully sing along to bomb...bomb...bomb...bomb...bomb Iran -- the perfecto parody of Beach Boys 1965 mega-mega hit -- bar...bar...bar...bar...barbra ann -- oh to have those days back.

As world events play out these days, I keep my sanity (being somewhat of a stranger in a strange land alienated for conspiracy theories and thoughtcrimes) by pretending I'm watching a reality TV show or a cartoon. This latest episode -- bombing Iran's nukes -- is right out of DR STRANGELOVE.

DR STRANGELOVE satirizes the Cold War fears of a nuclear confflict between the USSR and the USA. The pic at top shows the command and control center in the "War Room" where American President Merkin Muffley (Peter Sellers) and his advisors mismanage a nuclear crisis launched by a rogue Air Force general. The mad Air Force general, consumed by anti-communist paranoia over the fluoridation of drinking water, launches a first-strike nuclear attack on the Soviet Union without presidential authorization. Unbeknownst to the Pentagon, the Soviets were protected by a secret "Doomsday machine" that would automatically retaliate against USA targets (while encasing the Earth in a "doomsday shroud" for 93 years).

For the first time since it embarked on an international tour, STANLEY KUBRICK: THE EXHIBITION is showing at a Jewish museum -- San Francisco's Contemporary Jewish Museum. Although not an observant Jew, he was born into a middle-class, Jewish home in the Bronx, and his ancestors were Eastern European. After the Bronx, Kubrick lived in Greenwich Village, where New York Jewish intellectuals became friends and colleagues and sources of inspiration... Simultaneously fascinated and horrified by war, death and Nazi Germany, his films, and consequently the gallery, are filled with sounds of gunfire and explosives, the sight of firing squads, rifles, machine guns, tanks and bombs...

Geoffrey Cocks, who wrote THE WOLF AT THE DOOR: STANLEY KUBRICK, HISTORY & THE HOLOCAUST says Kubrick was agnostic but identified as Jewish and "had a healthy interest in questions not answerable"... Even though he often turned away from overt Jewish themes and tended to write Jews out of his stories, thinking they would make his movies less commercial at the time, there are many "indirect" references to the Holocaust and the Nazi's "Final Solution" in THE SHINING -- in a sense the most Jewish of Kubrick's movies... Scholarly research reveals more Jewishness in EYES WIDE SHUT, Kubrick's final film... Kubrick was known to be very depressed while working on ARYAN PAPERS, and it's more plausible that he, not the studio, decided not to proceed. He knew the subject was too massive to fit into any one film. On the other hand, Abrams believes Kubrick had already made a Holocaust film -- DR STRANGELOVE... Kubrick perceived the world as divided into Jews and non-Jews and was deeply interested in his own Jewishness and what that meant...

Delving deeper into DR STRANGELOVE it gets stranger and stranger with symbolism I'd never recognized before -- having only watched the movie once, except for research, and am repulsed by its sick humour and debauchery -- as is found in all commie-Jew Kubrick's movies. But connections to JFK's assassination -- that takes the cake -- literally!

Having filmed his Cold War satire during the spring and summer of 1963, director Stanley Kubrick was finally ready to unveil his new film at an advance press screening. The date was set for late November -- the 22nd to be exact. But only hours before journalists were expected to arrive at the Loew's Orpheum Theatre in Manhattan, news came from Dallas that President Kennedy had been shot. Obviously, the show couldn't go on and a shocked Kubrick immediately canceled. With the whole world in mourning, the film's premiere had to be pushed back as well, and several key changes were made to the film.

Instead of nuclear weapons, Dr Strangelove originally called for a climactic pie fight to erupt in the War Room after the Russian diplomat, Alexi de Sadesky, throws a custard pie at General Turgidson, but inadvertently strikes the President in the face, and he falls down. This prompts General 'Buck' Trugidson to cry, "Gentlemen! Our gallant young president has just been struck down in his prime!" Obviously, that bit definitely had to go.

Dr Strangelove's editor, Anthony Harvey, suggested on the film's 40th anniversary DVD release that the original ending was cut due to an inopportune line of dialogue involving the assassination of John F Kennedy which occurred around the time of the film's intended release date. Colombia feared that it would offend the mourning Kennedy family and that the public would not want to see such a cynical film regarding national turmoil.

As well as changing the pie-fight ending, Dr Strangelove employed sensitivity by tinkering with a line spoken early on in the film by Major Kong. While rifling through a pack of military supplies that included chewing gum, lipstick, nylon stockings, and prophylactics, Kong (originally) remarked, "A fella could have a pretty good weekend in Dallas with all this stuff". A sloppy lip-dub replaced the word "Dallas" with "Vegas" so as not to allude callously to the site of Kennedy's murder. If you're a lip reader, you'll note Pickens still mouths the word "Dallas".

Kubrick's pre-shadowing of JFK's death is more than coincidence and it's more than satire -- it's proof of pre-knowledge of the conspiracy. Just like in all their movies, they sprinkle private jokes and innuendo throughout that only they themselves get. It's their devil's calling card. DR STRANGELOVE is a mockery of JFK's most profound core belief -- that the future of life on Earth depended on not only not USING nuclear bombs, but not TESTING nuclear bombs either -- because of the poison into the atmosphere and destruction to humanity and the planet itself with each explosion. For mankind to survive, the race for nuclear arms was declared over -- and it was possible.

If DR STRANGELOVE had kept that farcical pie-fight ending for the movie it probably wouldn't have been much more than a teched-up episode of THE GOON SHOW where Peter Sellers also played all the major roles. He's hideous in the true ending as Strangelove in orgiastic ecstacy at the thought of life, underground, after mutually assured destruction has been achieved by dropping the bomb.
